Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Students are brimming with ideas and creativity not tethered by current reality. This allows them to come up with world changing ideas. We aim to connect the students with mentors from academia and industry to guide them to craft a project that can be showcased in the students' college application.

Yes, it's free for all.

A student, or a team of students, are connected with a mentor from academia or industry to work on an idea - a passion project. This passion project can help the student to showcase their passion to colleges they are interested in applying to.

  • At the start of the project, clear expectations are laid out for the final delivery - research paper, working prototype, art portfolio, etc.
  • The mentor is expected to meet with the student(s) at regular intervals - as mutually agreed upon through the process.
  • At the end, if the mentor is satisfied with the progress and delivery, the student will get a certificate and possibly a letter of recommendation from the mentor.

You can enroll as:

  • Student: At this moment, we are focusing on high school sophomore and junior students only.
  • Mentor: Any industry or academia expert in any professional field who would like to give back to the community and help students grow.
  • Volunteer: Any senior student, parent, teacher, industry expert, etc. who would like to help in 1) sustaining the site, 2) students sharpen their pitch, 3) students improve their presentation skills, 4) anything else

Either the student or the mentor can propose an idea.

  • If the student wants to propose an idea, they can craft a presentation and upload for enrolled mentors to see. If a mentor likes the idea, they can reach out to the student and offer to guide them.
  • If the mentor wants to propose an idea, they can craft a presentation and upload for all students to see. If one or more students like the idea, they can create a counter-pitch and present to the mentor. The mentor can then select one or more students to work on his/her idea.
